Am I really that responsible, or am I just afraid of telling the truth?
Yesung sighed as he lay down onto his bed. He touched his forehead and rotated his fingers to his temple to lessen the ache he was feeling.
I can’t do the thing that Siwon did. I am not courageous enough. I am a coward.
He closed his eyes as the memories of the past come back to him.
It was the first time to lay his eyes to a woman. The woman was so beautiful, a goddess, he seemed. Her eyes were expressive, her nose was well-formed, and her lips were as red as a rose.
Yesung felt that he could not resist not blinking his eyes. Yes, he was love struck – love struck for the first time, at first sight. Cupid’s arrow hit his heart.
The woman’s name was Ryeowook. She was studying at the same school he was studying.
As far as he knew, Ryeowook was a daughter of a rich woman, but not as rich as his father wanted for him. Therefore, there was no way to be with Ryeowook as of then.
Yesung was happy just to see her from afar.
And he thought it was only the best way for now.
“Y-Your highness,” Eunhyuk bowed before Siwon. He was so surprised to see who was in front of him.
“Don’t call me that way, Sir,” Siwon insisted. “As of now, I am not a prince. I am just an ordinary villager.”
Donghae, Eunhyuk’s husband, came. Like Eunhyuk, he was dumbfounded, and it took him minutes to get back to his real self.
“C-Come in, Y-Your-”
“Siwon. Call me Siwon,” Siwon said as he entered the house.
Siwon looked around the house. The house was quite clean – he thought that Eunhyuk was taken care of it very well – all were organized.
“Your father – err, the King told us that you are going to stay here. May I know for how long?” asked Eunhyuk while preparing coffee.
“Eunhyukkie!” Donghae shouted. “Don’t ask P-Pr…err…Siwon about that kind of thing!”
“I’m sorry, P-Siwon,” Eunhyuk apologized. “My manners-”
“No, it’s really okay,” Siwon said. “Do not call me Prince, because I am not. I am just an ordinary man.”
The couple nodded, but felt a little awkward. Imagine a prince inside your house. Who would not feel awkward?
Siwon realized that the couple was so sweet to each other. Indeed, they loved each other.
What would it like if I have one, he asked to himself.
“Go to the market and buy bread,” Kibum ordered Heechul. “A special guest is coming, so hurry up.”
When Kibum left, Ryeowook entered the kitchen and talked to Heechul.
“I’m sorry, Heechul. I don’t want you to do those things because you are not a servant. Besides, you STILL owned this house,” Ryeowook said.
“I’m okay, Ryeowook, thanks for your concern,” Heechul wiped her hands with an apron and turned the stove off. “Are you going with me?”
“Same as always,” Ryeowook answered. “That’s what friends are for, right?”
Heechul smiled, “I know I can count on you.”
“I was just wondering,” Heechul said while walking. “Why do you want me to be your friend? You are always on my side. They are your family.”
“I want to,” answered Ryeowook and smiled. “Besides, it does not matter if they are my family, as long as I am on the right side.”
They both laughed.
When they arrived to the bread shop, Heechul asked, “Who is this special guest they are talking about?”
Ryeowook looked at her and replied, “Hankyung, a family friend. He is the son of one of the richest entrepreneur here, third richest after the Duke. You know, Kibum likes him, but I think Hankyung does not feel the same for her.”
“I haven’t seen him yet. I even don’t know him,” Heechul said as she paid for the bread.
Ryeowook was surprised, “What?! Are you serious? Everyone knows him. He is like a prince!”
“Really?” Heechul asked. “Do you…like him?”
Ryeowook blushed, but remained for only a couple of seconds, “Yes, I like him. But there is someone whom I love the most.”
“So, who is the lucky guy?” asked Heechul. “Are you two going out or something like that?”
Ryeowook shook his head, “Far from that. We can never be together. We can never be-”
Ryewook ran away from Heechul. Heechul called her.
“Why are you only now? Quick! Make the food ready and serve it!” Sungmin ordered.
Heechul hurried and did what Sungmin said.
She went to the dining room and saw Ryeowook, Sungmin, Kibum, and the guy Ryeowook was talking about, Hankyung.
As expected, Hankyung looked more handsome than Ryeowook’s descriptions.
“Heechul! Hurry! Hankyung must be hungry,” Kibum said.
Hankyung looked at her. And their eyes met.
